Once in a lifetime ?!?

C had the opportunity to go to a major league baseball game with his brother, dad and nephew in Phoenix. They saw the Arizona Diamondbacks play the St Louis Cardinals (Cameron's favorite team). Cameron was given the trip for his birthday, and the others were invited along for the experience and fun. They flew out at 8:30 am and returned home that night at 10:30 pm. All of them had a great time. C thought it was great. Hopefully it will be something C could do with Cutter when he is older. Now, we just need to get to the Dayton 500. What a neat experience! Thanks for the invitation!

Happy Easter

We had a great Easter. The Easter bunny comes to our house on Saturday morning, and we had a special treat. Janet and Jayden were up for the weekend and Jayden had not really experienced Easter, and all they fun things that go along with it. Cutter was first up, and came downstairs all excited, the Easter bunny had come! He went and got everyone up, and the fun started. We showed Jayden how to look for the eggs that had been left. Cutter filled his shirt up, it was so cute.

The Easter bunny had left a basket for all the kids, including Jayden. Then we were off to Grandma Jensen's for our traditional Easter Egg Hunt, lunch, treats and good times.
The kids had so much fun. It was so good to have Janet and Jayden there with us.

Service with a smile

For school this year, Cassidy was given the opportunity to do a service project assignment. She was to do two hours of service for someone, or the community etc. It did not have to be just one thing either. She chose to help me out with the decorations for the Book Fair that I had been asked to do. She punched out circles for me, and helped put the decorations ups at the school. She also helped clean up the city ball fields, and get them ready for baseball. With Cutter playing T ball this year we had been asked to give our time at the field to help prepare it. She did a good job, and we had fun.

McKenzie's March Madness

March was a fun, crazy, out of control, month for McKenzie (and me). With turning twelve, she of course started Young Womens. She got to meet with the counselor over Beehives, and was introduced to the Personal Progress program. She and I have sat down and read through it. I'm excited to watch and help her achieve such great things. To welcome her into YW the Beehives came over and decorated her room while she was at piano. She loved it and was so excited. With the new Oquirrah Mountain Temple, and Draper Temple the young people in those temple districts have the opportunity to be a part of a Cultural Celebration. Since she is twelve, she gets to participate as well. She and I went to a Fireside to kick off the Celebration. What a neat, once in a lifetime opportunity for her. She is in the choir, and will be singing in the Conference Center on Temple Square the end of May. It is taking a lot of dedication and practices, but she loves it all. It is so cool to see her wear the bracelet they handed out at the fireside. It says "Come Up to the Mountain." What awesome spiritual experiences she is having so far in her young life. We went to 7th grade orientation, and registered for school. It still blows my mind that I will have one in Junior High. We went to St George to see our family the weekend of her birthday, and she thought that was great. She got to have lunch at Marv's, a BBQ, and time with family. We had a nice trip. And, she started soccer again. Welcome to twelve!!!!

Cutter is 4 !!!!

"No mom, I want to be five." What a funny little boy. He was so excited for his birthday, but he was not going to be four. He was going to be five. We had this discussion several times. Guess what, it is hard enough for me to see my baby be four, no way am I letting you jump to five Cutter Butter Peanut Butter! If I could freeze you and not let you get any older I would! You warm me all over little man! I love you.
